Custom Blog completed: “My Own BS: Travel the World and Photograph Life”
Green Web Design is pleased to announce the completion of a custom, self-hosted blog titled "My Own BS". Intrigued? You should be!
Recently, we had the pleasure of spending a day with Noe Garcia, a talented, hardworking Milwaukee Photographer with big plans for world travel. In fact his new Blog, titled "My Own BS: Travel the World and Photograph Life" is dedicated to the topics of world travel and photography.
We listened to Noe's ideas and learned that he needed a blog that he could literally travel the world with. The day after his 40th birthday (in approximately 2 years) he will leave everything he knows behind and travel the world on his savings, hoping to get by with a little help from friends and strangers who are following his journey online.
While he travels from city to city, he will work on a photography project to share with the world. Subscribers to his blog will be able to see live footage and photos, read his travel journals, suggest restaurants and other venues to try in his current location, and they will even be able to buy him a cup of coffee or a meal at their favorite restaurant via an instant donation button. Noe will do his best to post timely reviews of the venues he has visited in each city, as well as photos and blog entries, to keep us all updated.
There is a countdown on his blog which shows how long it will be before his journey begins. You can also subscribe to his feedburner, twitter, and other social networking profiles easily from his blog.
In the course of this project, Green Web Design provided the following services for the "My Own BS" blog:
Domain Name Registration; Secure Dedicated Web Hosting; Website Design Services; MySQL Database creation and setup; PHP script installation; Installation and integration of specialized plugins for custom functionality; integration of Google Analytics and Google Webmaster tools to track website traffic; XML Sitemap creation and submission; Basic social media package to integrate facebook, feedburner, twitter, stumbleupon, and other social networking capabilities with the website for easy sharing by visitors; Technical Support & Training; and more.
